We are excited to share this new Community Engagement platform on SeeMyLegacy. The platform will allow the Village to share opportunities with our residents for volunteering, participating in and donating to special events like Harvest Fest, Light Up Greenhills, Concerts on the Green and our upcoming America 250 Celebration.

In the future, residents and local businesses will be able to support community projects in the village like Memorial Benches and Trees.

Soon, you will see a new campaign for the Veterans Memorial and Honor Path that will be located at the former Greenhills Golf Course. Individuals will be able to support this project in a variety of ways including purchasing an inscribed paver for a veteran.

WHAT’S AMERICA 250?

America 250 is the country’s big birthday bash — the United States turns 250 years old on July 4, 2026, marking two and a half centuries since the Declaration of Independence was signed in Philadelphia. It’s shaping up to be the largest national celebration in American history, with events, festivals, and commemorations planned in every corner of the country, from small towns to major cities. Think parades, concerts, historical reenactments, and fireworks on a scale the country hasn’t seen since the Bicentennial in 1976.

The pathway at the new park has been completed! The pathway is just one piece of the plan that is an exciting concept the Village is implementing.  The concept calls for a natural prairie habitat surrounded by lawns, overlook points, a “natural” amphitheater, community gardens, and more!  Click here to see photos of proposed amenities.
